Trash Talking: Turning Waste into Architecture
The two main issues with our generation that we, as planners, designers, architects, engineers and citizens of the world must solve, are energy and waste. This talk looks at how we, as consumers, can better understand the circular economy, and how we can design buildings and cities from trash! Through showcasing projects from circular economy RD&D firm MINIWIZ, which turns trash into architecture, furniture, interior design elements and consumer goods, award-winning architect and circular economist Tan Szue Hann discusses what the circular economy means for our culture of consumerism, and how we can start building our cities of the future with our trash from today. What would an architecture made of discarded materials be like?
